On Monday, July 6, 2015 as part of the Program ”Invited Professors”, the public lecture entitled ”THE IMPACT OF iRNA PRODUCTS (SUCH AS THOSE USED IN SOME GENETICALLY MODIFIED PLANTS) ON MAMMALIAN HEALTH”, was held by KENNETH W. WITWER - Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, USA. The guest’s discourse was focused on issues related to the impact of iRNA products on mammalian health. This lecture has been of special interest for the researchers of various institutes of the ASM (IFS, IBM, Botanical Garden (Institute), CBM (UnASM), etc.). The participants were impressed by the lecture, and thus, upon completion, a discussion related to the above-mentioned topic followed. Also, Mr. Kenneth W. Witwer, in the capacity of representative of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, has showed his interest in establishing scientific cooperation in the future with the research institutions from the Republic of Moldova.
