Students of the second year of Geography and Ecology, Faculty of Natural Sciences, UnASM had the opportunity of getting new skills in the internship-2015 conducted at student research stations “Ion Gugiuman”, Rarău of University ”Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Iasi, Romania.
The students, guided by teachers assoc. Prof. Iurie Bejan and lecturer. univ. Rodion Domenco of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of UnASM and also being helped by headmaster of Research and Practice Station “Ion Gugiuman”, dr of sciences, mr Lesenciuc Daniel, dr. Lesenciuc Daniel, lecturer at the Faculty of Geology and Geography, University "A.I. Cuza" were acquainted with the geosystem characteristics of the Eastern Carpathians. Thus, besides geology, geomorphology, hydrology, vegetation and fauna of Rarău mountains - the Carpathians representative mountains. Practitioners took the opportunity to know the geography and human settlements, by visiting several urban and rural localities/ settlements(asezari) Cimpulung Moldovenesc, Vatra Dornei, Chiril willage the mountain tourism visiting the ancient forest of Slătioara, Piatra Doamnei, Piatra soimului, Rarau’s Priests and the Rarău Peak etc., and religious tourism visiting monasteries and hermitages in the vicinity of the resort.
