The Biology Department assures the implementation of curricula (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees) for the Biology and Molecular Biology specialties that require the acquisition of basic and specialty knowledge, analytical skills, and integration of information using advanced investigation techniques.

The competences and practical skills obtained during the years of study of analysis and use of linked markers with features of economic interest, molecular-genetic methods of detecting hereditary and viral diseases, gene expression mechanisms, immunogenetics, etc., facilitate the employment of graduates in academic, pharmaceutical, and environmental centers, clinical and diagnostic public health laboratories.

The practical training takes place in university laboratories, specialized institutes, and renowned scientific schools. Also involved in the training are specialists from abroad (Romania, the USA, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, etc.), which allows for the coordination of educational programs in the field from several universities.
