The specialty Philosophy aims at providing students with basic, extensive and up-to-date training in philosophy complemented by a strong knowledge in sciences of communication that would allow young graduates to adjust quickly to the current and future needs of society: education, research institutes, and institutes with applicative area of endevour. Students who attend the courses of the Philosophy specialty, upon graduation, will hold a higher education degree certificate – Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.  According to the amendments made to the Law on Education of the Republic of Moldova, upon completion of courses for the second level – a Master’s degree certificate is provided.
The teaching staff under the Department has a highly professional and scientific training and is able to provide the highest level of educational training. A special role in training specialists lies with internships. The internships take various forms, depending on the year of study. Thus, after the first year of training, the students within the Department of Philosophy are involved in internships within the Institute for History of ASM, Philosophy Sector. The students attending the last years of courses are involved in internships and pre-final exam internships that are carried out in accordance with provisions on the training of future specialists in the given area; the internship in teaching is foreseen for the duration of 8 weeks. Foreign languages and new ICT represent a priority for the specialty training program.
The graduates get the opportunity to be employed by public organizations. The graduates of the Department for Philosophy, who have taken the module in teaching, shall receive the qualification of teacher for the pre-university education. Besides, they are employed by various scientific institutions and enterprises.  Pursuant to the decree issued by the Teachers’ Board of the department, graduates with high achievements over the course of all the years of study shall receive recommendations for the Master’s degree program and PhD program.

The syllabus is designed for the graduates of Cycle I of University studies, who are the holders of degree certificates in humanities: philosophy, anthropology, politicology, sociology, psychology, history, law, philology, etc.
As part of the Master’s program, it is foreseen to train specialists who will hold extensive knowledge in the field of humanities, will learn techniques of investigation at a general and particular level that will enable graduates to be integrated within the relevant research institutions.
The future specialist shall obtain knowledge related to theoretical bases of philosophy, political sciences, sociology of culture, political anthropology, ethnography and ethnology, sociolinguistics, as well as knowledge related to up-to-date methods and procedures for investigation for these subjects. The Master’s degree students shall have the opportunity to perform Master’s degree papers having available various directions of research under the supervision of staff of the Department for Philosophy, History and Methodology of Research. 
The Master’s program Globalization: history, policies, European cultures is designed to build on and extend the theoretical knowledge in the area of humanities acquired during the cycle I; it also provides for the detailed study of social, political, cultural processes, typical for the contemporary society. In order to implement the complex process of research as part of the Master’s program, the following basic subjects are provided: Philosophy and sociology of culture, Political anthropology and sociology, Sociolinguistics, Theory and methodology of Research, Contemporary society and conflict. The subjects related to the specialty: Models of European democracy, Sociology of organizations, communication and discourse in the European space, Contemporary political systems etc are meant to develop instrumental skills of the Masters’ program graduate.

Master’s program in research (MC) – National security

The Master’s program for National Security aims at developing skillsand professional knowledge in accordance with the general concepts and the complexity of processes specific for the theory and practice of National Security.
The need to train specialists in the area of National security is imposed both by the demand of social, political, economic contemporary life, which is disrupted by numerous crises, as well as by the size and the growing importance of scientific and technical progress. As part of the training process for this specialty, it is anticipated to train wide profile specialists, who would have extensive theoretical and applicative knowledge in this field.
So as to achieve the goal and tasks identified in accordance with the training plan within the Masters’ degree program, the program provides for the following basic subjects of study: Introduction in the national security, Theory and methodology of research, Constitutional law, as well as specialty subjects of study: Economic security, Informational security, Military security, Energy security, Technological security, Political security, Food security, Bio-security, Demographic security, Security of Human Health, Examination and Settling of litigations, Management of Intellectual Security, that are meant to develop instrumental skills for the graduates of the Masters’ degree. 
Thus, the National Security Master’s program covers the totality of techniques of investigation and research that are meant to underline the ascending trend and the dynamism of development and the continuous improvement of National security as a contemporary branch related to the main concerns of modern society.
