Competencies

Upon completion of studies of Cycle I, the graduate will have acquired:
General skills:

  • knowledge about basic philosophical issues of present day life;
  • ability to apply the methods of analysis of a philosophical text;
  • knowledge about modern day trends and development prospects in the field of philosophy;
  • ability to identify philosophical methods to conduct research on social issues.

Specific skills:

  • knowledge of theoretical basics of philosophy and communication;
  • knowledge about the essence of knowledge, philosophical basics and philosophical principles  and of communication;
  • ability to determine types and forms of accomplishing communication;
  • knowledge about and applying of various methods of study of a person from the perspective of holding knowledge in a specific area in the context of modern day state and society;
  • developing work projects in the area of philosophy and communication;
  • use of new technologies in practical work;
  • knowledge about the methodology of scientific research in the area of philosophy;

Upon finalizing the study courses under Cycle II, Master’s degree program, Globalization, history, policies, European cultures, the graduate will acquire the following;
General skills:

  • Self-evaluation of his/her own performances in the area of humanities.
  • Estimate the knowledge acquired before using it for a given goal.
  • Undertake research work for the purpose of promoting and transferring the acquired results into various sectors of work.
  • Estimate the importance of achievements of science for society.
  • Apply up-to-date ICT.
  • Communicate the results of research to the experts in this area and other fields.
  • Analyze outputs and compare them with data existing in the data banks.

Specific skills:

  • Identify main directions of evaluation and development of humanities.
  • Justify the use of one methodology specific for the study of humanities.
  • Design and implement projects for scientific research.
  • Conduct research, develop and implement projects that would yield social solutions.
  • Come up with ideas for settling problems specific for humanities.
  • Establish priorities with regard to the interdisciplinary studies in scientific research.
  • Identify adequate methods for defining research objectives.
  • Adjust scientific achievements from other areas to investigations in humanities.
  • Apply innovations from the humanities into practice.
  • Interpret concepts and doctrines of social sciences and humanities with a view to drafting a work paper of his/her own.
  • Use modern day technologies for professional cooperation.
  • Use adequate models for data recording and for defining outputs and conclusions on investigations carried out.

Upon completion of Cycle II, Master’s degree, National Security courses, the graduate will acquire:
General skills:

  • Self-evaluation of own achievements acquired in the field of National Security.
  • Evaluate the acquired knowledge before using it for a given goal.
  • Carry out practical work with a view to promote and transfer the acquired results to other sectors of activity.
  • Evaluate the importance of accomplishments of social sciences and humanities for the society.
  • Apply the ICT.
  • Communicate the results of research in the given field and in other fields.
  • Analyze the results obtained and compare them with the data existing in various banks.

Specific skills:

  • Identify main directions of development with respect to national security and social sciences and humanities.
  • Justify the usefulness of a certain methodology as part of the research in the area of national security and as part of study of social sciences and humanities. 
  • Implement social and humanistic research projects in the field of National Security that would lead to solutions of social impact, showing a high level of independence.
  • Set priorities for interdisciplinary studies in scientific research
  • Present and justify suggestions and identify adequate methods for solving problems specific for the National security field.
  • Adapt and apply interdisciplinary achievements, as well as achievements in other fields of research, to the investigations in the field of National security.
  • Apply scientific achievements from other fields to the investigations related to social sciences and humanities.
  • Use up-to-date technologies in the professional cooperation and in the process of research in the area of National Security.
