Cycle I (undergraduate)

The initial internship

The internships performed by the students within the Philosophy specialty represent the follow-up on theoretical and practical classes in a more extensive way, with a prospect to identify the further area of research.
The internship of the II semester of the 1st year of study is characterized by a number of visits done by the participants with a view to getting familiarized with the specialized institutions and with their scientific work, such as: Institute for History of ASM; departments for social sciences and humanities of other universities: USM, USEM, UTM, etc.; the center for information and documentation; National Library, Central Scientific Library “Andrei Lupan” of ASM, etc.

Specialty internship
Specialty internship is carried out at the premises of specialty centers, such as the Laboratory for Scientific Research within the Faculty of History, Philosophy and Anthropology of USM, within the relevant Institute of ASM, within the press service centers that are part of various public institutions or companies, depending on the selected area. The internship occurs under the guidance of the person in charge with internships, in conjunction with the scientific coordinator who participates in the evaluation of topics of students yearly work papers, participates in identifying goals and objectives of research, in case studies to be developed by students or in suggestions to apply the results of performed research into practice. The specialty internship will be evaluated based on the report that the intern submits to the Department. The report will cover the work that the intern has performed over the duration of internship and the presentation of an outline of the current situation in the field, identification of a problem to be settled and problem solving tools.

Master’s degree studies, cycle II 

Globalization, history, policies, European cultures

Over the course of the internship time, the Master’s degree program students shall be familiarized with priority areas of research of the subject of study Technological Research and Development, learn about the research methods that they will use when drafting the Master’s degree paper. The schedule of work of the Master’s degree student shall be approved based on the type of work of the sector under the Institute.  The work the master’s degree student performs is evaluated on a periodical basis by the scientific coordinator.

National Security

The internship aims at building on the knowledge acquired and to develop skills to be further applied in the field of National security. The internship represents a follow-up on theoretical papers started during the 1st year of study of cycle II, also while working on the degree paper with a view to introducing the practical outputs into the Master’s degree thesis.  During the internship the master’s degree student works individually and is guided by the coordinator of master’s degree thesis. The student will show exceptional ability for analysis and synthesis of information, personal initiative, creativity and resourcefulness. The experience acquired during the internship will allow the master’s degree student to establish realistic and well-defined objectives for research focused on issues of critical importance for the society. The master’s degree student shall develop a work paper based on the application skills acquired and improved.
