On Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 1000 hours, within the classroom 349 the public lecture of professor Christoph JANIAK „Metal-organic frameworks, MOFs for cycling heat transformation processes and as additives in mixed-matrix membranes for gas separation” from theUniversity of Dusseldorf, Germany was held. During the lecture the types of compounds with metal-organic skeleton have been distinguished, which can be used instead of porous materials. The areas of use of new compounds have been described. Methods and conditions of assembling of new molecular architectures, as well as the ability to allow selective penetration of various membranes are of great importance. The obtained outcomes may be useful for the development of new technologies from various fields (medicine, industry, storage of some molecules of small dimensions, etc.).
We wish to express our gratitude to professor Christoph Janiak for the lecture delivered.
